For Antoine Harris, the transition from student to occupational therapist has been a journey of professional purpose. Reflecting on the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) program, he describes the experience as a vital catalyst for his career. 鈥淢y time at CSU was both rewarding and challenging,鈥 he shares. 鈥淭he rigor... instilled a mindset that prepared me to tackle future challenges.鈥
For the past decade, Harris has specialized in long-term care, helping patients regain independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). 鈥淗elping individuals maximize their function is both a privilege and a passion,鈥 he says.
Today, he remains dedicated to mentoring the next generation of occupational therapists, having served as clinical instructor for more than 15 CSU students.
鈥淲atching their growth鈥攆rom initial hesitation to increased confidence鈥攈as been incredibly fulfilling,鈥 he explains. 鈥淐SU students are resilient and eager to learn.
